The commission was to refresh a typical villa with 90’s décor. The clients’ brief was to create a spacious dining area, a contemporary living room with a fireplace and a modern kitchen. A contemporary and yet homely character was achieved through the use of distinctive wallpaper. The furniture was chosen for its casual comfort and contrasting textures. Together it makes for an eclectic look, avoiding cliché interior design look. The sliding doors to the new extension allowed for a visual connection to the beautiful garden. The practical indoor epoxy flooring matches the outside natural stone tiles in colour and hue. The roof of the extension created an opportunity for introducing a small roof garden creating a colourful and ecological view from the first floor.
