The brief was to transform a late 20th century villa to suit a family of 5. Mood boards for style, colour and material were created to guide all concerned and assist them in realising their aspirations and to firm up a consensual brief. The new layout for the ground floor of the stripped back property offers an entrance, open plan kitchen, living room, and 2 studies. The first floor is reconfigured to offer a master bedroom with walk in closet and en-suite bathroom, 3 playful rooms for the children, guest bedroom, bathroom and storage space. The basement is to house the gym and entertainment room for all the family. Connection to the garden as continuation of the living space was a key factor in the design.
