The reading table in the lobby of Hotel Deventer is part of the ‘Deventer Library‘. For the furnishing of this, we draw on the rich past of medieval Deventer. Known for the printing press, Gothic churches and the Latin school, but also for the Charles Dickens festival. As a sign of a time when people read less, all the stories are enclosed in the books and collected in this ‘historic‘ wall. For Hotel Deventer, Kamer 465 realized historical Deventer in a narrative way.
